Cedar batten Venetian style fence with softwood decking

The brief:
Construction of a raised decking area for entertainment and sun-bathing, using all natural materials.
How we helped:
Our client expressed a strong love of natural materials, so we coupled economical softwood decking with long lasting Cedar batten in a ‘Venetian’ style fence to create a wonderful timber balustrade. This needed to be suitable for both entertaining and relaxing in privacy, so our team used a timber frame to support, and additionally added a border of mixed perennials and climbers.
A specimen Olive tree and a standard Bay allowed for maturity, and these were under-planted with colourful shrubs and ornamental grasses.
