Mint Sandstone Circle & Year-Round Planting in Surbiton

Natural Stone circles, wooden beds & Fresh Planting

This project brings together texture, colour and premium quality materials to create a charming and inviting garden space. Featuring a beautifully laid mint riven sandstone circle with matching circular stepping stones, complemented by striking Ice Blue limestone chippings, this garden blends natural elegance with practical, year-round planting.

The Brief

Our client in Surbiton wanted a garden feature that felt both decorative and functional, with materials that would brighten the space and planting that offered interest in every season. They were looking for a focal point that added shape and structure while still feeling relaxed and natural.

Our Approach

To deliver a cohesive and visually appealing design, we focused on quality materials and layered planting:

  • Mint Riven Sandstone Circle - expertly laid with matching circular stepping stones from London Stone to create a soft, flowing focal point with beautiful natural tones.

  • Ice Blue Limestone Chippings - supplied by PTL Landscape and Builders Merchants in Sunbury, chosen for their clean, bright finish that contrasts perfectly with the sandstone.

  • All-New Planting Scheme - designed for year-round structure and seasonal colour using selected shrubs, evergreen Jasmine climbers and a mix of perennials for movement and variety.

The Result

The completed garden is a peaceful, polished space with a striking central feature. The combination of natural stone, subtle textures and thoughtful planting creates a garden that feels fresh, welcoming, and visually balanced throughout the year.
