A Bloomin' Marvellous transformation
From Dowdy to Magnificent
What began as a tired and messy-looking entrance has been transformed into a beautifully considered front garden, with a strong sense of period character.
The project included double-skin brick walls built using reclaimed London Stock bricks, finished with sandstone coping and pier caps, alongside powder-coated iron railings and a matching gate.
At the heart of the design is a classic black-and-white Victorian tiled pathway, creating a striking route from the street to the front door and giving the whole entrance a real sense of arrival.
The finishing touch
A Garden That Complements the Architecture.
The hard landscaping created the structure, while carefully considered planting brought the entrance to life.
Privet hedging and Ilex crenata provide structure and evergreen interest, with cloud-formed Ilex adding a more sculptural element. Hydrangea macrophylla brings seasonal softness and colour, while an Amelanchier lamarckii provides height and a beautiful focal point.
The result is a front garden where the pathway, planting and architecture all work together, traditional enough to feel at home with the property, but fresh, elegant and beautifully maintained.
